Victoria is 9 years old, she is a bright, outgoing little girl. Although most activities like sport and the arts come easily to Victoria she has always struggled to read and to put lengthy sentences on paper.
I noticed when someone was giving instructions, such as sport, she would look at how everyone else was doing it, so she was learning through visually. Although she has had a lot of help from her wonderful school, I've felt it wasn't enough.
I have contacted Evelyn White she has given a lot of good advice. Victoria spent a week at the Davis Dyslexia course, she enjoyed the week. Victoria's teacher noticed that Victoria's reading skills had improved, and her concentration also improved. She received a very good report.
The Davis method is everyday and on going. I feel the Davis method is relaxing and helps Victoria when she gets frustrated, and is different to the method she would use at school.
We appreciate everything Evelyn has taught Victoria.
